In the year of the Lord's Day 1396, the steward of Loški, Nikolaj Loški, commissioned the town's goldsmith and engraver to make a magic ring with the inscription Caspar Melchior Baltasar, which was supposed to mysteriously protect the wearer from diseases and various dangers. Nikolaj Loški gave a ring to the city lady Barbara Lambergar, who left it to her granddaughter Margareta in 1439. As many people try to claim the ring, he hides it and leaves instructions on how to find it in his will and diary. Times are difficult for the Dominion of Lodz, as bloody battles are fought between the Celje and the Habsburgs on its borders. The town is besieged by the Celje warlord Jan Vitovec. Margareta quickly flees the city to safety, leaving the ring in Škofja Loka. You must find it before anyone else and deliver it to the guardians of Margaret's Ring. Hurry before the city gates close.
