Bref, Le Titi Parisien est en grande difficulté financière ! Un matin, le rédacteur en chef, François Le Quellec, reçoit une lettre d’une mère de famille éplorée ayant perdu son fils. Elle indique que l’inspecteur Jacques Dubon de la section de recherche parisienne s’est saisi de l’affaire. Le Quellec, sceptique au début, passe quelques coups de fils auprès de ses indics à la police. Il réalise avec stupeur que cette histoire est vraie ! Trois gamins disparus en un mois ! L’enquêteur également ! Une vague histoire de fantômes et de monstres à dormir debout mais qui peut faire vendre ! Cette histoire est incroyable ! Il décide d’envoyer sa meilleure équipe de journalistes sur le terrain : l’objectif est de résoudre l’enquête en toute discrétion. Il ne faut surtout pas attirer l’attention des collègues du Monde ou du Figaro ! Il est certain que le public s’arrachera cette histoire ! Votre mission est simple : vous rendre au dernier lieu connu de l’enquête, le 1B de l’avenue d’Italie à Paris pour mener l’enquête. L’inspecteur Dubon vous y attend pour vous briefer sur le dossier. Selon les sources de la mairie, il appartiendrait à une vieille dame, Madame Bonniface Lessor… Quel nom étrange !
