Closing November 2 - You are cordially invited to join us for a tour of the abandoned and dilapidated Playhouse, known as the Papermill Theatre, named after the Paper Mill Factories that once lined the river. The mills and the area both have a rich history, which sadly includes tragedy and loss. Some even say the Playhouse that now rests there is haunted by those who have perished over the centuries. Though the building is in a state of dangerous disrepair and supposed ghost sightings run rampant as of late, the glow of the Ghost Light is sure to burn bright and keep the tour safe and sound … at least we hope.

If You make it out of the church You will make a small trek to our beloved Junkville. From there You will enjoy an evening walk to Horrorwood which is our Hollywood (character) Haunted House. You leave there and have to enter Clown Town and enjoy a BigTop Experience. Once You leave the Big Top You will experience our Newest Find on the property An Old Government Facility. If You are not taken away for experiment’s You will find Your self in a Cannibal Village. Assuming You make it out with all Your body parts You will have a short walk out of the woods to the bus stop.

Closing November 2 - Nightmare Run is a ghost run with origins in Louisville. Enjoy an evening of entertainment solving rhyming clues to find 2 INCLUDED Haunted Houses while traveling back country and scary roads. Build your best team of puzzle solvers or make it a date night event! Either way, you’ll struggle to find an event that is more fun than Nightmare Run. How Does it Work? Ghost Run was the term given to events like Nightmare Run that began over 40 years ago right here in Louisville, KY. They are events where you gather friends and family and follow rhyming clues in your car not knowing where you are going or what cool adventures you might encounter along the way. The goal is to follow the rhyming clues to make the correct turns which will lead you to Haunted Houses. The routes are NOT designed to take you the ‘direct’ route or ‘fastest’ route. They are intentionally designed to give you a tour of roads you’ve probably never been on even though they may be right in your own area of town. The Game and Haunted Attractions on Nightmare Run are all INCLUDED in your ticket price and by following the rhyming clues you are able to turn what would be a quick evening attending haunts into an interactive full night of fun for you and your family/friends.

Temporarily Closed - We are a band of monsters that open up our creepy abode to you mere mortals every Halloween Every Halloween, The Great Pumpkin rises from the pumpkin patch to dispense treats to all. This year, however, he is playing the ultimate trick on humans and cursing all the pumpkins! Please join Mombie’s Madhouse Halloween night during trick or treat hours and see if you can break the curse! We will be accepting monetary donations for the Organization for Autism Research (OAR) and non-perishable food donations for the Southern View Food Pantry. There will also be a raffle for a set of hand carved Universal Monster pumpkins. Candy will be handed out to all kids and non-scary characters will be around for the really little ones. Mombie’s Madhouse is located at 3421 S. Spring Street.
