Closing November 1 - The Haunted Amusement Park is a HAUNTED Scare Trail set on the desolate grounds of the iconic San Diego Amusement park Marshal Scotty's Playland. The once joyful sounds of fun and laughter are now replaced with screams of terror as visitors make their way through the remnants of the carnival rides from the 1960's. The haunted scare trail takes you under the old Roller Coaster, around the Ferris Wheel and in to the Bumper Cars where you will put on 3D glasses to experience out-of-this-world visuals. You will then have to find your way through the Circus maze before the side show freaks find you. But don't rest yet, you will still have to zig zag your way out of the sleep away camp cabin. See the original haunted ride repair shop, and make your way through the old attraction Graveyard where you will see the broken down cars from the roller coaster, a race car, a ferris wheel gondola still waiting for repair from the undead fix-it crew. The haunted Amusement Park also features a house of curiosities, a truly Haunted House of Horrors, a cemetery, a slaughterhouse, and much more on your nearly 1 mile walk through the spooky grounds of The Haunted Amusement Park. Temporarily Closed - Have you ever wondered if you would survive the zombie apocalypse? Now you can find out! At Nightmare at Dos Lagos you will find yourself outside of the safe zone and surrounded by the living dead. Your goal is to make your way through the infested retail shop to the safe zone. Along the way you will encounter many of the walking dead. You must not become infected yourself. Each participant will be assigned a belt containing three flags. Each of these flags represent a life. If you lose all three flags, you ARE infected. The infected will do everything they can to take your life’s from you. THE ZOMBIE VIRUS IS EXTREMELY CONTAGIOUS SO, DO NOT ALLOW THE INFECTED TO TOUCH YOU. If you lose all of your flags and become infected, do not lose hope. Continue with your group until you reach the safe zone. The Center for Disease control has been working on a cure, you might be able to be saved. You are not allowed to touch, attack, or hit the infected zombies. Here is some of the info we have learned about these infected individuals that might help you along the way. The first turned infected tend to be slow. But do not doubt their lethality… The average infected can move at a reasonable pace but still can be out maneuvered. The freshly turned infected are as fast as you or I. They are very aggressive and violent. We have found that the infected will typically only take one life per group they encounter. Also we have learned that the infected are easily distracted. If you are lucky enough to be in possession of a squeaky toy this can save your life. Just make it squeak and throw it in the opposite direction you need to go, and the infected will go for the toy. But be warned if you throw the squeaky toy and hit the infected, it will enrage them and they will take all of your life’s.. Once you reach the safe zone a CDC professional will inspect you for bites and to ensure you still have at least one flag remaining. Also, along the way, you might be lucky enough to find extra lives. If you find an extra flag grab it and bring it with you to the inspection area. These extra flags could be on the ground or they might be hidden in drawers or other hiding spots.

Temporarily Closed - On June 16, 1932, Stephen Marshall, his wife, Elizabeth Marshall and their two children Frank and Laura loaded up their Ford Coupe and left their land in New Mexico to head west to settle near the coast of California in the city known today as Costa Mesa. 5 days later, the family’s car was found in an area of Southern Riverside, known as Corona but not one member of the family was found near their car. Legend has it that after the car broke down the family went to search for help by foot. They ventured through the swampy marsh located at the foot of what became the Cleveland National Forest and stumbled upon the Lewis Bros traveling circus. Everything seemed to be going well until Stephen and Elizabeth started noticing things….there was something wrong with Jerry the clown…his painted on smile was a little to uncomfortable for the Marshalls’. Stephen gathered up his family and suggested they leave right away to continue to look for help. Jerry didn’t like strangers and felt that it was his duty to eliminate the Marshalls. Jerry chased the Marshalls out of the fairgrounds into the dark, dreary woods where it is believed that he eventually caught them. Frank’s body was found mutilated. Stephen and Elizabeth’s bodies were recovered near the River Bottom Cemetery. Years later Jerry was caught and charged for the murders of the Marshall Family….he was sentenced to death by electrocution. The authorities told Jerry that if he gave them information as to the whereabouts of Laura’s body they would give him a stay of execution and allow him to live out a life sentence. Jerry refused and to this day, no one knows what happened to Laura. It is said that Laura’s ghost has been spotted roaming from the site of where the family’s car broke down all the way to where her parents bodies were found…no one knows why or what she’s doing but there’s a very uncomfortable feeling whenever she is spotted. Jerry’s story is a little more suspicious, Jerry’s spirit has been spotted at the scene of the Lewis Bros traveling circus’ final performance, where it is said that he is looking for another family to bring to hell with him.
